Now with more SPACE FLAVOR!

Moshi Moshi!

Karleen and I have been teaching more by ourselves lately. It's been kind of scary, but we have both realized what classes we like more. Karleen loves the children's classes, while I prefer the junior high/Adult classes. This could ultimately change, of course, it's only been a week since we started.

You're all probably wondering "what the hell the title of this post mean?" or "Cam has finally lost it". But, the reason for the title is that I'm gonna give you a run down of all the new drinks I've had since I've been here.

LETS START!

First of all, the soft drinks:

Bubble Rocket- I took one look at this and said...I NEED to try this. I mean, the bottle/can (shape of a bottle, material of a can) is eye catching...crazy Japanese letters and..."SPACE FLAVOR!" Awesome! The rest of the bottle is quite amusing as well, and I have no idea what they are saying. The drink, itself, was very interesting. It was almost a citrus drink, but had something else. It almost had a "Bawls" (energy drink) flavor, but more citrus and unknown additive. 7/10 Not bad, not the best either.

C.C. Lemon-
By far the best drink I've had here. C.C. Lemon is not only a soft drink, but a nutrient supplier as well! The little bottle there (500ml) says that it has 70 lemons' worth of Vitamin C in every bottle...70! It says on the red sticker on the right that 70 lemons is around 1400mg of Vitamin C...Fantastic! The larger one (1.5L I think) has 210(!) Lemons worth...4200mg!Not only is it good for me, but it tastes amazing. Think of the best lemonade you've had...now add carbonation, and woola! 10/10 Can't get enough!

Pepsi Nex- At first, I really didn't like it. It had a weird taste, and tasted nothing like Pepsi...then...it kind of grew on me. The weird taste was something familiar, but I couldn't put my finger on it...so I had to buy another bottle...and the answer was found. Pepsi Nex, I would say, is a mixture of Pepsi Twist, Diet Pepsi, and maybe a little bit of 7Up. I'll confess something...another reason why I bought a second bottle is that...it had a little keychain on it...6.5/10 It's ok, but if I had a choice, I probably wouldn't pick it.

Pepsi Carnival- I've already talked about this one. Flashy appearance, "meh" in the taste. 5/10 Like I said, Jolt Cola but cheaper...and not as good.

On to the Cold Coffee/Tea:

Kocoakaden Royal Milk Tea- Now, I'm a cold coffee lover, so when I saw that they had cold tea, I was intrigued. Not much to say about it...it was ok. It definitely has an acquired taste. 3.5/10 I think I'll just stick to coffee

Suntory Boss Cafe Au Lait-Pretty tasty, I must say. This is on par with another coffee drink as my favorite so far. The taste is almost like a Timy's Iced Capp, sans the slush. As the slogan says, "A refreshing balance to start your day"..I'll drink to that 9.5/10 Wanna have it again, and again...

George GRANDE- This was the first cold coffee I tried here, and probably my least favorite. Now don't get me wrong, it's coffee, but I guess I really don't fancy cold, black coffee as much other people. That and the can is tiny...not the best for your buck. 6/10 Tiny, full of flavor, but not for me.

Kirin Koiwai Milk & Coffee- This was the other drink that was on par with the Cafe au Lait. Tasted almost like an Iced Capp (Karleen even said something). The plus side with this drink is that it's cheaper than the Boss one (I think). Either way, I would have it again. 9.5/10 Gimmy gimmy Gimmy!
Mt. Rainier Caffee Latte- The most recent one I've tried. Not bad, but it's on the pricy side if you don't buy it at the right places. Not as good as Boss and Kirin, but better than George. A selling point is that it's a drink for on the go. It comes with a straw and you just poke in the designated area, and go to town. 7.5/10 Expensive, but straw makes you look sheik.
Beer time baby!:
Prime Time- Already talked about this one. It's from the Asahi company, and according to some of my students, very expensive (just over 100yen). 7.5/10 Pretty good, like Kokanee but stronger.
Kirin ????- Now, I know it's from Kirin, but I have NO IDEA what its called. I asked a couple of my students, and they said that the animal on the top is a giraffe..?..and it's saying something in Japanese...then "UP!" Besides having no clue what it's called, it's not bad. I mean, it's cheap, but I can handle that, and I love what the bottom says, "Kirin's brewing technology elaborates the 'Nodogoshi'"??? 7/10 Love that Nodogoshi....

There you have it. A comprehensive list of some of the drinks Japan has to offer. Once I start venturing around more, I'll try to get my hand on more crazy stuff!

IMPORTANT IMPORTANT!
Here's our address...the real one this time. Thee old one is wrong. (although if you've already sent something it might still make it. Sorry sorry sorry. You NEED the postal code. (we thought it was a phone number oops) and apparently we don't need all the cho, and, ken, chi's (very confusing)

CJ - you are so entertaining! Thanks for the review - I'm thinking if these drinks are major calories, you may begin to lose your svelte build if you keep drinking them all! You'll need to work out on that new fancy bike you bought.
    Luv ya
